Excerpt book 8 "Stilettos, Handcuffs and Sexy Stuff"
“Who in the hell is Dr. Wayne Denton and
why did you invite him here?” Vin demanded to know.
“What in the hell are you ranting about
and why would I ever be stupid enough to invite Denton of all people here?”
“The email he sent you says that you
invited him and he plans to come here next month.” Vin replied in a very
irritated tone.
“First of all nobody told your ass to
read my damn email, secondly Denton is five hundred and sixty three times more
annoying than you could ever be. With that being said I wouldn’t invite that
man to the same area code that I’m in, so there is no way in hell I’d invite
him here.” Niko explained in a frustrated tone.
“Good because for a minute there I
thought that I was going to have to bring the hurt to dear old Dr. Denton.” Vin
said narrowing his gaze at her.
“Oh please the last thing you need to
worry about is Denton, what you should be worried about is me going up side
your damn head for reading my email. You are so dang nosy first you dig through
my belongings now you read through my email, what of mine do you plan to stick
your nose in to next?” She asked in an angry tone.
“Uh do you really want me to answer that
Zucchero, because I’d be happy to
show you what of yours that I’d like to stick my nose as well as a few other
body parts in to next?” Vin said only half teasing.
“Forget I asked, look I only come in
here to get a file that I needed and there it is.” She said pointing to a file on
the shelf behind her desk. Niko moved behind the desk and reached over to grab
the file as Vin grabbed her pulling her into his lap.
“What do you think that you’re doing?”
“Isn’t it obvious or do I really need to
explain?” He asked putting one arm around her waist while placing his free hand
over the curve of her plump behind. Leaning closer he nuzzled her neck as he
gently nipped at the sensitive flesh causing her to shiver slightly.
“You should probably let me go Lawman,
so that I can get back to work, besides I’m too heavy to be sitting on your lap
like this.”
“I probably should but since you don’t
sound so sure I don’t think that I will and as for you being too heavy girl
you’re crazy. You are just the right size for me you have curves in all the right
places and I love it.” He replied before squeezing her ass and sucking on the
tender flesh of her neck.
Niko was torn between two battling
emotions the first was the one in her head, telling her that she should push
him away and end this sensual madness. The other was in her heart telling her
to hold onto him and enjoy this moment for as long as she could.
She decided to give in for just a minute
or two slipping her hand to the back of his neck letting her fingers toy with
his hair that had grown several inches longer since he’d arrived. Vin felt her
body relax just a bit and that was all the encouragement he needed. Lifting his
head slightly he glanced into her honey colored eyes for a second before
lowering his lips to hers.
He gently nipped at her bottom lip then
licked that spot teasing it he repeated this process several times between
kisses. By the time he dipped his tongue passed her teeth and into her mouth
she welcomed it with an eagerness that surprised even her.
Bringing his hand between their bodies
he cupped his palm over one of her breasts. He caressed and kneaded it while
flicking his thumb across her hardened nipple through the material of her top.
Niko moaned softly just as her office
door swung open and her assistant walked in. “Excuse me Dr. Landry but…” The
young woman was unable to finish her statement when she realized that she’d
interrupted an intimate moment between the two of them. She quickly turned her
back out of respect as she attempted to apologize.
“I…uh…I’m…uh…oh my, gosh I’m so sorry I
should’ve knocked.” She said nervously as she kept her back towards them.
Niko struggled to untangle herself from
Vin’s lap after he removed his hand from her breast, however he refused to
release his tight hold on her preventing her from moving away. She glanced back
at him with a look that would cause an average man to tremble in his boots. But
of course Vin was no average man he was a Fabrizio man and not easily
intimidated.
“You can look at me as mean as you want
to Zucchero, I’m still not letting
you go.” Vin whispered near her ear.
Niko sighed softly as she rolled her eyes
at him knowing that trying to argue with Vincenzo when he was determined was
quite useless so she tried to politely reason with him.
“Vin this is extremely inappropriate
behavior in front of my employee.” She whispered so that only he could hear
her.
“I don’t see how it’s inappropriate for
a husband to be affectionate with his wife besides I’m sure that your assistant
understands.” Vin said loud enough for the young woman to hear.
“Vincenzo, I’m warning you if you don’t
stop telling…”
Her sentence was cut off by his lips
being pressed firmly against hers for a quick yet pointed kiss. When the kiss
was over Vin moved his lips beside her ear to whisper quietly. “And I’m warning
you Zucchero whether you’re ready to
admit it or not I will become your husband in the very near future. So do
yourself a favor, stop denying it now so you’ll be less embarrassed later.”
